PICK YOUR BATTLES
I've been a client of GoDaddy for many, many years.  I saw the Buddy commercial.  I thought it was in bad taste - the ship him out comment, etc... but I don't get the hype and am wondering if it was self created… probably would have gone unnoticed and upstaged by the Budweiser one it was trying to make fun of…  bad press may be better than no press at all.

You all know how I feel about dogs, but I'm not agreeing with the bashing on this one too much.   If they shot to a scene were there were 300 dogs in a small cage then that's a different story. How do we know these dogs weren't in the truck to be taken to the vet for their first check up before they were going to their forever homes? There are reputable small businesses that sell dogs.  We don't know this is a puppy mill .  Small businesses need exposure and help and go daddy can provide this - I guess… if they can figure out how to use it...

Personally, I think Godaddy is terribly hard to navigate and even with the 600 emails I get I still never exactly know what services I have that are expiring. And once I log in - forget about it!  I'm lost for days. How many people even still use it?  What other companies are out there? I really need to do some research.  I think the bigger question is why were the dogs in the back of the truck - unrestrained - in the first place?  If Buddy was in a car seat he never would have fallen out and the Cruella de Vil could have shipped him out and no one would have known about anything and everyone could look the other way and shut up.

Am I making a bigger deal about this than I should be?

This is why I dropped Theater 101. Just saying.

What about the pug storming thru the screen door in the doritos ad a couple years ago… I don't remember a fuss being made about that - what, he has a smashed in face anyway so… so what?  IDK what to think about all this.

Why isn't anyone mad at the cute Budweiser guy for "not seeing" his bud leave the barn… You know who should be mad about this story???  That curious cat and a pug nosed pup - Milo and Otis - because they starred in it in the first place. ;-)

A GIRL AND HER DOG
I have had dogs in my life die before but my former husband never had… I believe all went downhill the day RoseBud died.  There's a photo I would like to post here - one of me and DCD. We were in the dining room crying over The Bud and he grabbed the camera and snapped a selfie of sorts. He wanted to remember that moment. I do.  It's a very emotional, raw photo with tears in our eyes and sadness in our hearts - it's one of my favorites.  Not sure he would like it much if I posted it so I guess I won't.

Did you hear about this story about a girl and her English Mastiff dog Gizelle?  She made a bucket list for her dying dog. Please look at these photos and read their story here.  So very sweet.  Rest in peace, Gizelle.

I'M CALLING 911...
I felt like I was being held hostage!  I had an early morning appointment with the dermatologist and then I had some Christmas returns to do. I went to Kmart because Chrissy told me that all their Christmas stuff was 90% off - she went yesterday.  I stopped for a plain biscuit and iced tea for breakfast and 21 rolls of wrapping paper later I met her and Cara at HomeGoods.  We left my car in the parking lot and then proceeded to stay out the rest of the night - 16 hours, actually…

We had lunch at Burgatory. Our waitress (Katherine) even personalized our bills with hearts, stars and flowers.  I swear, at times, she's my kid.

Anyway, the day continued... I can't even remember where we went.  I totally thought I was going to pass out in Target.  I literally just couldn't go anymore.  I wanted to curl up in the cart and die. Chrissy insisted we stay out longer and refused to take me to my car… All that was missing was the duct tape and zip ties! We were all over the place and, believe it or not, even back to Kmart.  3 more rolls for me.

WTF?

I don't even need wrapping paper!?!

Taipai Tokyo for dinner and an almost midnight snack at Eat N Park - they got pie and tea/hot chocolate.  The kid asked me what I wanted and told him to not think I'm weird and said...

I'll have coffee…

…and mashed potatoes.

I'm not very fond of pie. ;-)

DELUCA BROS...
After RoseBud died and before we got Lily we had a window of opportunity where we were dogless and we could all go away without worrying about taking care of a pup.  The Dad was/is always the dog sitter.  It was (his brother) Anthony's 69th birthday and his boys were going down for the surprise party.

The Dad, Dave and I decided to go as well. We rented this nice house in The Villages and actually looked around at some property with the possibility of moving down there when DCD was thinking about working in Florida. Hmmm. now that I think about it, I can probably get a lot of jobs down there in activities. ;-)  It was a fun trip - we and the boys were escorted into the party by Uncle Anthony's church friends like we were celebrities and the surprise went off well. We got ice cream and drove to walmart in the golf carts, went to a polo match, got up close and personal with a buffalo...

Later, when we were seriously thinking of moving to florida and got a real estate agent I came up with this business plan. I found it on my computer the other day.  Uncle Anthony said they didn't have any good Italian stores down there so I came up with a plan for them to open one… Open shelving, family pics, Pittsburgh stuff…  Everything was tied around this pic…

Obviously, that never came to be.  I still think it would have been a good idea.  I kind of wish we would have just moved down there then. I really think things would have been different.  Maybe.  I don't know.

We all got married around the same time - me, my cousins Barbie and Greg, and Robbie... Uncle Anthony was actually Robbie's best man!  I always see him dancing some funky dance or horsing around with my dad. We all kind of said our goodbyes to him when Alexis and Auggie got married in the summer - I think everyone knew what was to come next.

I got the call at work the other day from my cousin's wife. She wanted me to let everyone know it could be a month or so - then it turned into a week - ended up being a couple days...

Rest in peace, Uncle Anthony. I hope they have good meatballs where you are.

SWEET AS SUGAR
I have to say I never was a huge fan of Adam Levine - I never really saw the appeal but this video is adorable.  It wasn't that big when I got married but I think we would have been the ones, today, that had the group dance and the major show going on… you know - some 400 person flash mob. I know people get married and divorced all the time… some married multiple times.  The first, though, I don't know… The 21 piece big band, mickeys up my dress, attention to every detail… we had a good wedding and now it just kind of saddens my heart to think about it. Maybe, I should be over it by now. I'll give you that. Never, ever, ever, ever did i think I would be in the position I'm in today. ;-(

WHAT THE PUG?
When I become crazy (crazier) I want to be the old lady in the nursing home that walks around with this doll baby.  That may be the weirdest thing I've ever seen... and I'm a pretty big fan of weird.

THERE AIN'T NO OTHER
I have been thinking about Fergie from NYE - she never fails to disappoint in the fashion department now, does she?  An art friend of mine posted this video of Prince from his first performance. I think this link should work. I couldn't help thinking about it when I saw her in her last ensemble. Speaking of Prince, I came across this photo from many moons ago.  Not quite sure what I'm looking at. ;-)

IT'S GOING TO BE A HAPPY NEW YEAR…

…or is it?  This is Lily from New Year's Eve.   I guess I'll back post a little since I already have some things in my drafts folder… well I have like 600 things in my drafts folder - just a few from January.  Still having issues with my computer so I've been writing and waiting to add photos and then that never happens and now it's mid February.  This new year isn't turning out to be so great and I'm concerned with how the rest of it is going to play out.
